The Theatre Consortium

The Theatre Consortium are a group of performance companies based in North London and working across world cultures both nationally and internationally. The Consortium was conceived to bring together the skills and qualities of its members to support the development of creative businesses in London, by building capacity and developing joint projects.

The Theatre consortium is in development stages for a Festival of Vernacular Theatre in London, planned for 2009/10 Recognising London to be one of the most culturally diverse cities in the word, the Festival will celebrate the myriad of languages that bring Londoners together. It will work with established theatre spaces/buildings to co-produce an exciting programme of theatre.

Origins is the UK's inaugural festival of First Nations creative arts, bringing together groundbreaking artists from the indigenous cultures of Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA. At venues across London, the festival explores First Nations experience in the twenty-first century through theatre, film screenings, and participation.
